Mr. Mike Woolsey, Principal

Mr. Mike Woolsey is proud to continue serving as the Principal of Pendergast Elementary School and remains dedicated to providing every student with a high-quality, well-rounded educational experience.

Throughout his career in the Pendergast Elementary School District, Mr. Woolsey has served the community in a variety of roles, including classroom teacher, assistant principal, and principal. His experience across multiple schools has strengthened his commitment to fostering student achievement and creating a school environment where every child can thrive.

Mr. Woolsey is passionate about ensuring students have access to innovative learning opportunities, state-of-the-art tools, and meaningful educational experiences that prepare them to become confident readers, writers, thinkers, and problem-solvers. He believes that strong partnerships between school and home are essential to student success and looks forward to working alongside families to support every child's growth.

Mr. Woolsey is honored to continue serving the Pendergast Elementary community and is excited for another outstanding school year of learning, collaboration, and student success.

 

 

Mr. Cody Cherland, Assistant Principal

Mr. Cherland joins the Roadrunner family after serving as Assistant Principal at Garden Lakes Elementary. Throughout his career, he has served as a classroom teacher, Dean of Students, and Assistant Principal, giving him the opportunity to work alongside thousands of incredible students, families, and educators. These experiences have strengthened his belief that schools play a vital role in building strong communities and preparing students for future success.

Mr. Cherland is passionate about creating a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment where every student is challenged to grow as a leader, thinker, and problem solver. He looks forward to partnering with families and staff to provide meaningful learning experiences that help students thrive both academically and personally.

Mr. Cherland is eager to connect with students and families throughout the school year and looks forward to meeting everyone at school events, celebrating student successes, and cheering on the Roadrunners. He is excited to begin this new chapter and help make the 2026–2027 school year an outstanding one for the entire Pendergast Elementary community.
